    Default Shiny rate

    Is the rate the same or is it better. If it isn't then listen to this, I started out with pichu & walked to Viridian to get the parcel when a shiny rattata appeard but, I didn't have any pokeballs yet... FML

    umm in version 1.3 the shiny rate is like 1/128 or 1/256, a rather high probability compared to any existing games. XD

    Nice. I once encountered a shiny in leaf green. it was when i started my game and i was running thru virdian forest. I only had like 10 pokeballs. It kept using harden, i guess i would just hit it with quick attack on pidgey. Guess what after that, pidgey got a critical hit T.T and all my pokeballs were gone :(
